Agenda for Abu Dhabi Department of Energys participation in the 24th World Energy Congress get the reveal

The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE) host and sponsor of the 24th World Energy Congress (WEC), taking place in the UAE capital on September 9-12, 2019 has revealed the agenda for its participation in the events activities.

The major goal of the Department at the WEC 2019 is to highlight its energy efficiency projects to the local and foreign investors.

His Excellency Eng. Awaidha Murshed Al Marar, DoE Chairman is set to take part in a day-one session at the Congress, entitled: New Visions of Energy: Succeeding in a Context of Disruption, in addition to giving the keynote speech at the session on Business as (Un)usual: Opportunity for Change on the second day of the event.

Under the title ' Market Design, Enabling Energy Transition,' Under Secretary of State H.E. Mohammed bin Jarsh Al Falassi will take part in a meeting on Day 3 of the WEC. The Energy Department is also preparing for a discussion panel to address long-term trends and developments taking place across the energy industry in Abu Dhabi with local and foreign energy specialists.

The Pavilion in the Department was designed to the highest standards and cutting-edge technology at the 24th World Energy Congress (stand A10, Hall 5). It aims to provide visitors an interesting experience to explore the present and future of the energy industry of Abu Dhabi in 6 stages. The trip of the visitors starts from an understanding of the reorganizing of the area and the strategic goals behind it and the effective outcomes it has accomplished so far. Next, it introduces the Energy Department's laws and policies for regulating the industry prior to researching the sector's major infrastructure projectsboth current and scheduled.

The DoE Pavilion also includes a section dedicated to exhibiting the various scenarios that the Abu Dhabi Integrated Energy Model (the Energy Cube) addresses together with another subdivision to implement the Abu Dhabi Demand-Side Management and Energy Efficiency Strategy 2030 a collaborative effort bringing together various local entities in the emirate. Furthermore, the display provides an insight into the present state of energy-focused investments in Abu Dhabi and the possibilities it offers for local and international investment enterprises.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Energy has affirmed its trust in the prominent role of media in ensuring the success of this global event. With that in mind, the DoE attempted to sponsor the media centre at the Congress, were over 500 journalists and press specialists are supposed to be welcomed. In addition, the Department has a dedicated pavilion of Capital Suite 1 to host meetings, discussion panels, and media interviews with official DoE spokespersons.
