Abu Dhabi Launches Inaugural Effortless Customer Experience Awards Under Patronage of Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) has announced the launch of the first-ever Abu Dhabi Effortless Customer Experience Awards.

The awards align with the ambitious vision outlined in the Abu Dhabi Effortless Customer Experience Strategy, which aims to enhance service delivery through seamless, proactive, and innovative solutions. The initiative recognizes government entities that have successfully transformed customer interactions and elevated service excellence across the emirate.

Recognizing Innovation in Customer Experience

The awards build on the success of the Abu Dhabi Program for Effortless Customer Experience, which has significantly improved service efficiency. The program has eliminated approximately 400,000 service center visits, reduced customer requests by 64%, cut service steps by 23%, and decreased required fields by 36%, contributing to world-class customer satisfaction levels.

The inaugural awards ceremony, scheduled for February 19, 2025, will highlight innovative service solutions that have made a tangible impact on individuals, visitors, and businesses. The event will recognize exceptional efforts in creating effortless customer experiences, ensuring seamless transactions without requiring direct interactions.

Honoring Excellence in Government Services

Over 500 decision-makers, innovators, and customer experience leaders will attend the ceremony to celebrate the contributions of 35 government entities and companies that have prioritized proactive and efficient service delivery. The awards will include three main categories: Best Service, Best Life Moment, and Effortless CX Superstars. Additionally, three special recognition categories—Continuous Improvement, Inclusive Design, and Innovation—will acknowledge outstanding contributions to service enhancement.

His Excellency Ahmed Al Kuttab, Chairman of the Department of Government Enablement - Abu Dhabi, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating:

"The Abu Dhabi Effortless Customer Experience Awards celebrate innovation in government service delivery and encourage entities to enhance customer experiences that improve the quality of life and support business growth. The awards reflect Abu Dhabi’s commitment to delivering seamless and proactive government services, strengthening its global leadership in this sector."

His Excellency Saeed Al Mulla, Executive Director of Customer Experience at DGE, highlighted the impact of continuous innovation, adding:

"These awards showcase Abu Dhabi’s dedication to improving customer experience standards by fostering collaboration and encouraging service excellence. By recognizing outstanding initiatives, we enhance the efficiency of government services and create more accessible, seamless experiences for all community segments."
