Abu Dhabi Authorities Successfully Contain Fire Near Yas Waterworld

Emergency response teams from the Abu Dhabi Police and the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority swiftly contained a fire that broke out on Friday, March 28, 2025, at a construction site near Yas Waterworld on Yas Island.

Authorities confirmed that the fire was fully extinguished without any injuries or damage to surrounding structures. Cooling and smoke extraction operations are currently in progress to ensure the site is safe.

Yas Waterworld Resumes Operations

Following the containment of the fire, Yas Waterworld confirmed that its operations will continue as usual, welcoming visitors starting Saturday, March 29, just in time for the Eid Al Fitr holiday celebrations.
