Would you pay Dh210,000 to reserve Tesla’s next-generation Roadster without a confirmed delivery date?
Tesla has opened bookings in the UAE for its long-awaited electric supercar, with reservation deposits starting at Dh210,000 for the Performance version and reaching Dh1.02 million for the Thrust model. The Performance variant features active aerodynamics and a suction system for improved grip, while the Thrust version adds acceleration thrusters that Tesla says can propel the car from 0 to 100kmph in under one second. A third version, the single-seater Rocket, is available by invitation only and is described as capable of flight, but it is not approved for public-road use. These amounts are reservation deposits, not final selling prices, and Tesla says the vehicle remains under development with no guaranteed delivery date. Although Elon Musk has said production could begin in 2028, deliveries have not been confirmed.
Would you consider reserving a supercar with such futuristic features despite the uncertainty, or would you wait until production and delivery dates are confirmed? Share your views with us!
