Lost your job in the UAE? What are the eight conditions to qualify for ILOE unemployment compensation?
Employees must have been subscribed to the Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) scheme for at least 12 consecutive months and must have lost their jobs involuntarily, not through disciplinary dismissal. Claims must be genuine, with no fraud or fictitious employer involved. Compensation stops if the employee finds a new job, and applications must be submitted within 30 days of the end of employment or the resolution of a labour dispute. Applicants must also have no active work-absence complaint, their job loss must not be linked to strikes or non-peaceful protests, and they must maintain legal residency in the UAE. The government-backed scheme provides temporary financial support to eligible workers while they seek new employment.
