How many vehicles can UAE residents register under the new traffic rules taking effect on January 1, 2027?

Residents will be allowed to register or renew up to two vehicles without an additional charge. Registering a third, fourth or fifth vehicle will attract an extra fee, but no individual can have more than five licensed vehicles. The limit applies per person, not per household. The regulation does not specify the additional fee or clarify what will happen to residents who already have more than five vehicles.
