Etihad Rail is marking the launch of its passenger network with light and laser shows from 7pm to 1am at stations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah, with Friday, October 2, being the final night to watch the displays. The celebrations coincide with the formal launch of passenger services on September 30, 2026, with the network initially connecting Abu Dhabi and Fujairah in around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Dubai’s Jumeirah Golf Estates station also provides a direct pedestrian connection to the Dubai Metro Red Line, while Al Dhaid station connects Sharjah to the national rail network. The celebrations mark a new chapter in the UAE’s expanding rail network and inter-emirate travel.
