How could Etihad Rail and Dubai Metro transform daily travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai?

Once Etihad Rail, the planned Abu Dhabi-Dubai high-speed railway and Dubai Metro networks are connected, commuters could travel between the two emirates by train and continue their journeys through Dubai’s Metro system. The Al Yalayis Etihad Rail station is expected to connect with the Red Line at Jumeirah Golf Estates, providing access to areas such as Dubai Marina, Internet City, Business Bay, Downtown Dubai and Dubai International Airport. A future Meydan station is also planned to connect with the Gold Line, creating further links across Dubai.

The integrated network could make cross-emirate journeys more seamless for commuters, students and air passengers.
