With Etihad Rail now operating three daily passenger services between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, a same-day getaway to the UAE's east coast has become faster and more convenient. Travellers can book tickets up to four weeks in advance through the Etihad Rail website or mobile app, choosing from Saver, Value and Flex fare options. Introductory fares start from Dh55 for Comfort Class and Dh120 for Premium Class, with discounts available for children and senior citizens. Trains depart Abu Dhabi at 8:19am, 1:53pm and 6:39pm, with the morning service reaching Fujairah in just 1 hour and 45 minutes at 10:04am, while return trains leave Fujairah at 5:34am, 10:59am and 5:28pm. Passengers are advised to arrive at least 20 minutes before departure, and can access the Mohamed bin Zayed City station via free parking, taxis or a Dh10 shuttle bus to key Abu Dhabi locations. Once in Fujairah, visitors can explore attractions including beaches, Snoopy Island, historic forts and the emirate's scenic coastline before catching an evening train back. Would you take the train for a weekend escape to Fujairah, or do you still prefer driving for the flexibility?
