How can UAE residents turn the National Day holidays into a five-day break in 2026?

D Day of Dubai Asked 2 hours, 28 minutes ago

UAE residents may be able to enjoy five consecutive days off from December 2 to 6 by using just one day of annual leave. Eid Al Etihad, marking the UAE’s 55th National Day, is expected to fall on Wednesday and Thursday, December 2 and 3, although the official holiday dates have not yet been announced. Employees who take Friday, December 4, off can then enjoy the break through Sunday, December 6. Some employees on four-day working weeks, including public sector workers in Sharjah, may get an extended break without using annual leave. Residents planning to travel are advised to book flights and accommodation early, as demand and prices could rise closer to the holidays.
