No—under Dubai’s Health Insurance Law, hospitals must treat any patient in a medical emergency regardless of whether their insurance is accepted, and insurers are legally required to cover emergency care even at out-of-network facilities until the patient is fully stabilised. This means your child will receive immediate emergency treatment at any Dubai hospital, and neither the hospital nor the insurer can refuse care based on coverage limitations. If emergency treatment is ever denied, residents have the right to report it to the Dubai Health Authority.
