World Humanitarian Day- A day to honor and celebrate those who give their efforts towards the advancement of humanity.

Under the patronage of UN Messenger of Peace and Chairperson of International Humanitarian City (IHC), HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the 2015 World Humanitarian Day (WHD) will be celebrated in Dubai on Wednesday 19th of August 2015. Following the ongoing efforts to raise public awareness of humanitarian assistance worldwide and the people who risk their lives in order to provide it, in 2008 the United Nations General Assembly designated the 19th August as the World Humanitarian Day.
