UAE National Day 2016
The month of December kicks off with a whirlwind of activity and excitement for you guessed it the UAEs 45th National Day Anniversary! Heres a brief roundup of the action to help you plan your big weekend so you dont miss out. In anticipation of the anniversary, Thursday, 1 December, comes alive with the National Day Arabic Concerts featuring Emirati artists taking place around the city at Dubai Mall, Dubai Festival City, Mall of the Emirates, City Walk, The Beach and City Centre Mirdif from 8pm. As the sun sets on National Day itself, 2 December, the sky will light up with fireworks at The Beach from 8:30pm. For those of you who plan to celebrate into the late night, join the exclusive party at Dubai World Trade Centre at 9:30pm, where international star DJ Tisto will perform live in an audio-visual, electronic dance music spectacular. During the first three days of the month, from 1-3 December, Arabian music will fill the malls with UAE & GCC traditional bands playing music from 4pm-10pm, while Dubais amusement parks, Global Village, IMG World and Dubai Parks will be in full swing with thrills and National Day cheer. For those of you who plan to avoid last minute shopping this gift-giving month, shopping malls will have special National Day sales featuring 60%-90% off across the city. And for those wanting to maximise the cheer, head to City Walk for the National Day Carnival which starts early from 27 November, from 4pm-10pm daily.
