Dubai’s beloved Fridge Concert Series returns for its 46th season, continuing its tradition of spotlighting emerging musicians from the Arab world and beyond. Hosted at The Fridge Warehouse in collaboration with Lee Cooper at Shoemart, the series fosters new artistic collaborations and vibrant live performances.
May 13: Award-winning Chilean musician Sergio Catalan Diaz opens the series with a captivating set blending Latin pop, jazz, and ballads, featuring songs from his album Desde el Sur alongside new compositions. The evening begins with a dynamic performance by Colombian multi-instrumentalist Larry Ararat and Cuban pianist Gigi Milan, who blend Afro-Caribbean rhythms with jazz to create an immersive soundscape.
May 20: Ukrainian pop-rock sensation Allexa Bash, known for her raw and emotional style likened to Adele and Kate Bush, performs tracks from her debut album Dark Angels. Irish singer-songwriter Joe Girvin kicks off the night with warm, introspective acoustic pieces from his upcoming EP Maybe It's Time.
May 27: The season finale features Egyptian jazz maestro Rami Attallah and his trio, joined by special guests Mohamad Hosny on oud and Artur García on saxophone. Expect a unique fusion of jazz with Arabic music traditions, filled with intricate rhythms and improvisation.
