The highly anticipated Fridge Concert Series is back for its 43rd season, promising an electrifying showcase of bands and singers from 23 April to 14 May. Hosted at the iconic Fridge Warehouse in Alserkal Avenue, this renowned event is celebrated for its commitment to nurturing the local arts community and spotlighting emerging talent and innovative collaborations. Over the years, the concert series has evolved into a platform supporting regional youth and providing opportunities for up-and-coming musicians from across the Arab world and beyond to showcase their skills and creativity. Kicking off the season on a high note is pop and soul artist Lexie, supported by the talented Ryan Keen. The stage will come alive with their mesmerizing performances against the backdrop of a state-of-the-art sound system at the Alserkal Avenue venue. As the series progresses, audiences will have the opportunity to celebrate International Jazz Day with Opoku Sana and Friends, followed by 'A Night of Qisse' featuring indie star Gaya, who will serenade the crowd with tracks in English, Hindi, and Tamil. The final night promises a captivating blend of homegrown pop and indie sounds from TalkinToys, supported by the enchanting South Asian melodies of Sreeja Chakra. With an age limit of 12+, doors open at 7:30pm for each performance.
