The Arabic Heritage of Astronomy- Learn about the fascinating history of Arabic astronomy.

This event invites people of all ages to a free lecture on the Arabic heritage of astronomy. Along with the Dubai Astronomy Group, this event will include an explanation about the Duroor Calendar and how the Bedouins in the desert and Arab travellers structured their lives around it, how they navigated on land and sea with the help of astronomy and the astronomical instruments that they built to assist in this. The guest speaker will be Mr. Hasan Ahmad Al Hariri, founder and CEO of the Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG).
