SunSay live

Dubai is set to welcome alternative music project SunSay on September 25, when frontman Andrey Zaporozhets brings the group’s distinctive blend of indie-rock, electronic music and reggae to New Covent Garden Theatre at Mall of the Emirates.

Founded by Ukrainian musician Zaporozhets, SunSay has developed an international following through its experimental sound, socially conscious lyrics and distinctive vocal style. Zaporozhets is also known as the frontman of the acclaimed band 5’nizza.

The Dubai performance will mark SunSay’s first appearance in the city, offering audiences an evening focused on live instrumentation, layered arrangements and experimental music.

A blend of alternative sounds

SunSay’s music brings together elements of indie-rock, electronic music and reggae, creating a sound that moves across several genres while retaining a distinctive identity.

The Dubai show is expected to feature songs from across the project’s catalogue, including early favourites alongside material from more recent albums.

For audiences familiar with Zaporozhets’ work, the performance will also provide an opportunity to experience the musical approach that has established SunSay within the alternative music scene.

The evening will centre on live performance, complex arrangements and Zaporozhets’ characteristic vocals, with the project’s combination of different musical influences forming the core of the set.

SunSay makes Dubai debut

The September 25 performance will take place at New Covent Garden Theatre, Mall of the Emirates, bringing the project’s alternative sound to Dubai for the first time.

With its focus on experimentation rather than a conventional mainstream format, the concert is expected to appeal to listeners looking for a different live music experience.
