Shams El Balad and Jun’s Four-Hands Dinner
Downtown Dubai's Jun’s Restaurant will host an exclusive four-hands dinner by Chef Kelvin Cheung and Chef Qais Malhas, offering a remarkable seven-course meal that brings together flavors from across cultures. Known for his Chinese-Canadian culinary background, Chef Cheung will team up with Chef Malhas of Jordan’s celebrated Shams El Balad, known for his Palestinian-Jordanian heritage, in a collaboration that first began at the Jordan Food Festival.
Guests can look forward to a thoughtfully curated menu that includes a blend of unique snacks, mezze, and main courses, combining cultural authenticity with modern twists. Highlights include snacks like pickles, kimchi, and ka’ek b simsim, a raw samakeh nayyeh dish, and mezze favorites such as lentil kufta, cauliflower mshat, and msakhan pani puri. Entrees feature shushbarak dumplings, braised Westholme short rib, carrot fatteh, and other richly flavored creations, while desserts include a one-bite kullaj and rakweh tiramisu for a memorable finale.
