Nrityanjali Dubai- The Kathak Academy hosts its 29th edition of Nrityanjali at DUCTAC
The Kathak Academy, run by the gifted and incredibly skilled Kathak dancer, Mrs Ketaki Hazra will be hosting a dance show featuring it's students. The dance show is a part of Guru Ketki Hazras Kathak Academys 29th edition of Nrityanjali, an annual non-profit event being held since 1985. The academy which has been training students in the pure classical Indian dance style of Kathak style attracts students from various expatriate communities from the Indian subcontinent. In addition, this years show highlights pure Kathak style where there is an emphasis on footwork and pirouettes. Under Ketaki Hazras stewardship, students have choreographed various Kathak items, showcasing semi-classical formats such as thumri and tarana.
