Noor – Festival of Lights
Teamwork Arts, India’s premier festival curator, is set to bring Diwali to life in Dubai with "Noor: The Festival of Lights," a three-day cultural extravaganza at Al Seef from October 25-27, 2024. This immersive festival will showcase India's rich cultural heritage, offering a blend of visual spectacles, enthralling performances, and hands-on workshops. Highlights of Noor: The Festival of Lights Opening Day, October 25: The festival kicks off with a colorful procession featuring Giant Puppets, followed by a vibrant percussion performance led by nagada maestro Nathoo Lal Solanki. A dynamic theatrical act by Gopal Datt’s Aur Karo Theatre and an Awadhi folk concert by the celebrated singer Malini Awasthi will complete the evening’s celebrations. October 26: Audiences will experience Sufi Qawwali by Rehmat-e-Nusrat and the timeless Urdu storytelling of Dastan-e-Chouboli, a tale of a princess bound by a unique vow. The day will end with Rajasthani folk and Sufi music by the renowned Kutle Khan Project. Finale, October 27: Comedian Aaditya Kulshreshth, known as Kullu, will perform a stand-up set titled Smooth Kullu Smooth, followed by an exhilarating South Indian folk-rock performance by Swarathma, promising a memorable finale to this unique Diwali celebration.
