Inside the Hive

Residents and visitors are invited to explore the fascinating world of bees through the “Inside the Hive” experience at Expo City Dubai, offering a unique blend of science, sustainability and hands-on learning.

Designed for adults interested in beekeeping and honey production, the immersive programme provides a closer look at how beehives function and the essential role bees play in the ecosystem. The session will be led by Dr Meriem Hammal, a certified professional beekeeper and scientist, who will guide participants through the intricacies of hive structures, honey harvesting, and extraction techniques.

Attendees will gain practical insights into the beekeeping process while also enjoying a memorable takeaway—their own jar of freshly harvested honey.

The experience also includes access to the Terra exhibition, allowing participants to further explore sustainability themes and environmental innovations at their own pace following the session.

The event offers a rare opportunity to connect with nature, understand the importance of pollinators, and experience the craft behind one of the world’s most essential natural products.
