He’s one of the most outstanding pianists of his generation, which is why Denis Matsuev manages to impress audiences each time he gets on stage. Mark your diaries for 4 May as the Russian musician returns to Dubai Opera to present a string of compositions in his signature style filled with improvisations and virtuoso surprises. Matsuev has not only performed with leading orchestras from across the world, but also won the International Tchaikovsky Competition, cementing his position at the top of his genre. On the night, you’ll be treated to Matsuev's new program Classics & Jazz, featuring an arrangement of masterpieces by Grieg, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, Bernstein and others. Double bassist Andrey Ivanov and drummer Alexander Zinger will also be part of the performance.
