Dear Colleagues, To celebrate our remarkable scientic legacies, the 2020 Mental Health Congress will take place under the motto Raising Awareness, Back to the Past and Looking to the Future. Medicine as a whole is going through a period of challenge world-wide and mental health and social care is being excessively affected. To rise to these challenges, we need to hold our hope and nd new ways of working. Psychiatrys continuing evolution, involving the organisation of better mental health services, the development of innovative models of care, and the discovery of new research paradigms, drives us to share the latest discoveries for the benet of all. Many challenges still exist, but by drawing on the successes from the past and moving forward with new knowledge together, we can help shape a better future for professionals and patients alike.
