Last year, the United Arab Emirates announced a law authorizing 100% foreign ownership of businesses, one of many measures aimed at drawing investment and foreigners who were severely harmed by the coronavirus outbreak. Foreigners could already own up to 100% Ownership in Dubai Mainland companies registered in designated business parks classified as “free zones” under a previous law passed in 2018.
